Just a little update for my friends. Since David and I have been back from our honeymoon, we have been working on our house. My mother tells me it could take up to a year or more to get a new house in order, but I am too impatient for that. If you read my previous post when we first bought our house, I wrote that David would be unwillingly updating our cabinets and we (together on this one) would start on the craft room. Well, I am happy to say that I keep my word. We have a few sneak peeks of the new house as it’s on its way to complete.
Craft Room Inspiration: recently I have fallen in love with aqua and red vintage style. When trying to decorate a room, I start with 2 or 3 items of inspiration and go from there. Here, I chose patterned red curtains and an aqua tin trash can.

Kitchen and updated cabinets: David hand scraped/sanded a light wood with an orange-ish tint into these beautiful walnut stained cabinets.
Shabby inspiration without going overboard
My cousin’s fiance (Jordan) refurbished this old chest by hand-sanding and re painting, then sanding edges. Inspiration for our bedroom.
Saw these curtains at Target and had to have them for our living room.
Had to throw in one of my first projects in the craft room: a Christmas card.
