My baby is ONE!

Hey Everyone! Ashley here, sharing a fun layout focusing on our daughter, who just turned the big ONE! This layout features lots of the HKC Exclusive Ephemera “Everyday” pieces from the June2016 Mainkit!

I began with a white background that came in our Cardstock Add On Kit and mixed a bit of the Shimmerz Paints dazzlers (from last month’s kit–in the shade Spun Sugar) along with this month’s Color Kit item which was Shimmerz Paints “Stillettos.” I used the stencil from the Color Kit and simply sponged it on. I could have used a palette knife for this but I couldn’t find a clean one. oops! 🙂

I then layered my photo with 2 patterned papers and began embellishing with the ephemera pieces. Along with the HKC Exclusive Ephemera pieces designed by Kim Watson, I also included a few of the Becky Higgins Project Life “Currently” ephemera pieces that came in our Color Kit.

I used my hot glue gun for lots of dimension! I hope y’all love this layout as much as I loved creating it! I can’t believe my baby is ONE!!!!

Text Love

Hey y’all! It’s Ashley, back with another layout featuring my sweet baby and my love for words and phrases!

I began with white background and had the idea to use up quite a few of those Dear Lizzy “Happy Place” die cut phrases that came in our June 2016 Main Kit. Instead of doing lots of layers, I decided to focus on the words and then place the photo write in the middle of the text.

I used several Jillibean Soup wood veneer shapes from our Embellishment Kit as well as a few of the HKC exclusive die cut pieces that came in our Main Kit.

I also used a few elements from the Project Life 2016 Kit such as the smaller phrase stickers and the word wood veneer.

I finished off the layout with a few splatters from the Coloringz bottles that came in our Color Kit.

I hope y’all love this layout! I had a blast creating it.

For my second project, I created Project Life spread. Of course, I used several cards from the June 2016 Project Life Kit. I just love these HKC Exclusive cards! They are amaze.

For my first title card, I used the HKC Exclusive Alphas that came in our Main Kit along with an exclusive puffy stickers from our Embellishment Kit.

I added several Project Life Ephemera pieces as well as some Jillibean Soup Wood Veneer and SN@P clear stickers.

This spread was a lot of fun—I’m in love with all of the colors.

Celebrate Dads!

Hey Y’all! It’s Ashley, back with a super fun and simple layout using the June 2016 ‪Hip Kits! This week, I focused on my husband, since it’s Father’s Day Week, and this so happens to be his first Father’s Day! I chose a picture that had both our daughter and our dog. Why? you may ask…because if you ask my husband, our dog is extremely important and is our first born child. 🙂 In all seriousness, my husband is a great father to both Ava AND Annabelle.

I started with that beautiful ‪HKC exclusive‬ wood-grain paper designed by Kim Watson that came in the ‪Main Kit!In my opinion, a scrapbooker can never have too much wood-grain! Anyway, I wanted to break it up a bit and use a white background (from out ‪Cardstock add-on kit‬) with the wood-grain placed towards the top of the layout. I then decided to layer my papers using some of the the Simple Stories “Sunshine and Happiness” collection, HKC Exclusive “Everyday” collection, and the Pebbles “Everyday” collection.

I used a die cut phrase from the Dear Lizzy ‪‎Happy Place‬ collection for my title and some of the HKC Exclusive ephemera designed by Kim Watson, which both came from the Main Kit.

I used a couple of embellishments from our Puffy Sticker sheet that came in the ‪Embellishment Add-On Kit as well as a rubber tag from the American Crafts Maggie Holmes ‪#‎bloom‬ collection, and a die cut from the American Crafts ‪#‎Currently‬ collection.

To complete my layout, I splashed some of the Shimmerz Paints ‪Coloringz called Mandarin Mai Tai!

I had a lot of fun creating this page and I hope y’all gain some inspiration for working with you ‪June 2016 Hip Kits!

For the Love of Layers!

Hey y’all! Ashley here, back with a couple of projects using those gorgeous May 2016 kits—just makes me all the more excited to receive my June 2016 kits.

This week, I’m focusing on layers. I. LOVE. LAYERS. Sometimes I love a simple layout, but more often then not, I love to add lots of layers to my layouts for extra dimension and interest.

I began with a 12×12 page using the Main Kit, Embellishment Kit, the Paper kit, and the Project Life add-on. I used that beautiful exclusive paper designed by Kim Watson (Meadowbrook) that came in the main kit and paper kit. I diagonally cut that paper and placed it on the left corner of the page. Then, I began to build my layers. Again, I mostly used papers from the Meadowbrook collection along with one of the papers from Jillibean Soup (Healthy Hello Soup) and Illustrated Faith’s She Blooms collection.

I decided pretty quickly that I wanted to use the saying “she blooms” that is printed on one of the 12×12 papers. I used a circle punch and placed on my page, then began punching other circles of different sizes for extra layering. Then, I added embellishments right on top of the punched circles and around the photo. I just love those chipboard pieces that came in our Embellishment Kit and Main Kit that are created by Bella Blvd and Illustrated Faith.

This layout is by far on of my faves and I hope y’all love it too!

lots of layers

For my second project, I created a simple mini album page, adding more to my maternity album. This one was kicking off the baby sh0wer section in my album. I simply used the HKC exclusive card, “Hello,” that came in our Project Life Kit. I added some of those amazing HKC navy puffy alphas and of course the other puffies designed by Kim Watson.

In addition, I used a page protector that has one 4×6 and two 3×4 cards. This was super quick and simple to create. I love everything from the little enamel dots by Echo Park to the Jillibean Soup placemats!

I hope y’all love this one too!
