Hello Sunshine

Hey y’all! Ashley here, with a super cheery and bright layout for you using the #July2016 #Hipkits!

I started with a white background and knew right away that I wanted to use that Simple stories sunburst paper as my title “Hello Sunshine.” I began layering my papers behind my photo and and offsetting them just to give a little interest. I used a few of #thehappylife #HKCesclusive papers to add in pops of pink.

I also used some of the #HKCexclusive #ephemera and couple of the wood veneer pieces from Pink Paislee Paige Taylor Evans #FancyFree.

I just love how fun and happy this layout is! I hope you all enjoy it.

Peace, Love, and Project Life

Hi All!

I hope you all are having a great Monday so far! This week, I am using the July 2016 kits and I am focusing on using up some ofย  those beautiful Project Life cards that Kim Watson designed, which came in our Project Life Kit.

I began with a design with 9 vertical 3×4 cards. I’m loving this design and plus, I need to fill the back of my previous design. I am actually working on Week 3 continued as I had several photos to complete for this particular week.

I used several of the HKC Exclusive Cards and I also cut up some of the patterned paper that came in our Main Kit.

I embellished using probably every embellishment from the Main Kit, Embellishment Add-On Kit, and the Project Life Kit. That might be a bit of an exaggeration but I’m almost certain there are only a few items that I did not open for both my layout and my project life spread. I just love everything in these kits!

I used several of the ephemera pieces from the HKC Exclusive Ephemera from both the Main Kit and the Embellishment Kit, as well as puffy stickers from the Embellishment Kit, and some Amy Tangerine Enamel dots from the Project Life Kit.

I hope you all love this spread! ๐Ÿ™‚

For my layout, I started with a white background and began layering with several of the patterned papers, from the HKC exclusives to the Illustrated Faith rainbow chevron, and a Simple Stories “Sunbright” paper.

I used the HKC Exclusive Alphas that came in our Main Kit along with lots of the HKC “The Happy Life” Ephemera.

I added a few puffy stickers that came in the Embellishment Kit along with a few Project Life Chipboard Stickers. Lastly, I added a few drops of the Shimmerz Citron color that came in our Color Kit.

The just love the colors! I hope you all gain some inspiration from this one.

This is Great

Hey Everyone! Ashley Fowler here, sharing with you a super simple, yet fun layout that I created, using the June2016 Hip Kit Club Main Kit, Project Life Kit, Embellishment Add-On Kit, Paper Kit, and Color Kit.

I began with a kraft background and knew immediately that I wanted to layer some colorful papers right in the middle. I used an American Crafts Dear Lizzy “Happy Place” paper along with a few of the HKC Exclusive papers and Simple Stories “Sunshine and Happiness” papers.

I offset some of the papers for a more interesting look and then laid down my photo. I embellished with several HKC Exclusive “Everyday”ephemera pieces along with American Crafts pieces such as the “Currently” PL collection, the Paige Evans “Fancy Free” collection, and a die cut phrase from the Dear Lizzy “Happy Place” collection.

Towards the end, I really felt it needed some sort of texture, so I added some rough stitching on the side of my layout for an extra touch!

I had tons of fun making this layout and I hope you all love it!

Making it Masculine

Hey y’all!

I’m back! With a super unusual layout for me using the June 2016 Kits—I really stepped out of my comfort zone for this one and I actually like the way that it turned off. Believe me, it took time for this page to grow on me, and I even thought about redoing it completely but I decided to keep it because after all, it’s a good thing to step out of our comfort zone and accept imperfections! My biggest challenge: NOT USING PINK! This challenge was set by myself so that I could try and make this page as masculine as possible. I think I achieved the masculine part, but the outcome wasn’t exactly my favorite!

I started with a white background and one of the Dear Lizzy die cut phrases that came in our Main Kit. I simply set the die cut onto my page and then sprayed right on top of it using the Color Kit’s Shimmerz spray called Mandarin Mai Tai.

I then began my layering process, using some of our exclusive patterns as well as some of the Jen Hadfield Pebbles papers. I embellished using several elements from the Main Kit, as well as the Embellishment Add-On Kit.

I then added some of the puffy stickers that are an HKC Exclusive from our Embellishment Add-On Kit and then hand-doodled with a pen around the edges.

I hope you like this one!

For my second project, I created a project life spread that focuses on several pictures taken of my sweet baby girl when she was about 7 months. (insert bawling face emoji here). Anyway, I took several photos of her before church one morning and loved how each and every one of those turned out. Why not use all of them? So, I did. It was the perfect addition for my PL Album.

I used a few of the HKC Exclusive cards from the Project Life kit and then used the Paper Kit for extra 3×4 cards.

I embellished with the Jillibean Soup wood veneer, puffy stickers, lots of Simple Stories stickers, and a few pieces of ephemera from Becky Higgins’ Currently collection and HKC “Everyday.”

I had tons of fun making this one and loved this process from the beginning. ๐Ÿ™‚
