Week 40 and Supersize It!

Hey y’all!

Ashley here, sharing a PL spread and LO with you all, using the October 2016 Hip Kits.

I’m still using the 9×12 album with different page protectors, although I tend to gravitate towards the one with two 4×6 pockets and five 3×4 pockets.

This week, I created a double-sided 9×12 spread! I began with a few cards from the Project Life Kit, which are HKC Exclusive product, as well as a few cut-to-size cards from the Paper Kit.

I’m loving the Dear Lizzy “Saturday” collection in these kits, as well as the We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home” collection.

I used the world “blessed” from the Pebbles line called “Home”, along with some stickers from the Simple Stories Carpe Diem (Posh) collection.

I had so much fun creating this one.

For my second project, I created a 12×12 layout, using a few elements from the October 2016 Hip Kit Club Main Kit, along with lots of pieces from the Project Life Kit and Embellishment Kit.

I began with a white background and knew right away that I wanted a large title to go along with the “supersize it” theme for today! I simply trimmed a Simple Stories “Carpe Diem Posh” paper in half, then placed it right onto the white background.

I matted my photo with a Dear Lizzy Saturday pattern, then began with the placement of my title. I used alphas from the Pebbles Jen Hadfield collection, along with the HKC exclusive and Simple Stories Carpe Diem (Posh) alphas.

Lastly, I embellished using lots of the “Honey I’m Home elements from We R Memory Keepers.

This one is simple, but makes a big statement!

My Whole Heart and Week 39

Hey everyone! I’ve got a few special projects for this week! The first one I’d love to share is Week 39 of Project Life using the October 2016 Project Life Kit as well as the Embellishment Kit, Main Kit, and Cardstock Add-On Kit.

I used several of the HKC Exclusive cards from the Project Life Kit, as well as elements from the Pebbles Inc. Jen Hadfield collection and the American Crafts We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home Collection.”

I also used a few of the Simple Stories chipboard pieces from the “Carpe Diem Posh” collection as well as some of the Dear Lizzy “Saturday” collection pieces!

These spreads were so much fun to make! I hope you’ve gained some inspiration from these projects!

For my layout, I created a 12×12 page using the beautiful wood-grain background from the “Gather” Maggie Holmes collection!

I simply layered underneath my photo using some of the Dear Lizzy “Saturday” papers from the Paper Kit, and then added ephemera pieces from that same collection as well as chipboard wood pieces from the We R Memory Keepers collection.

I also added stickers from both the “Honey I’m Home” collection as well as the Simple Stories (Carpe Diem Posh) 12×12 sticker sheet that both came in our October 2016 Embellishment Kit.

I love the way this one came out as well!

Using multiple photos on an 8.5×11

Hey Everyone! I’m back with two fun super simple projects for this weekend, both for my project life album, using the September 2016 Hip Kits!

Do you guys ever have multiple photos that you want to add to a PL spread but there’s not enough room in the page protectors? I had that problem this week and I really wanted to stick to a 2 page spread rather than a 3 page spread. So, I decided to create a single 8.5×11 Layout along with my spread.

I started with a plain white background and placed my 3 photos on the page. I’m not going to lie to you all, I struggled with this. For one, it’s super unusual for me to scrap with 3 photos, and for two, I rarely scrap an 8.5×11 layout.

After placing my photos, I took lots of Gather ephemera from the Main Kit to tuck around the photos. Also, from the Main Kit came the alphas for my title. I L-O-V-E these Pinkfresh Alphas!

Lastly, I added smaller elements like the adhesive brads from the Main Kit and the gold foil #gather stickers from the Embellishment Kit!

I hope y’all love this one! It’s different than usual but was a lot of fun to create.

For my second project, I created a 9×12 spread for the continuation of Week 38. I used a few cards from the Project Life Kit as well as a couple of cut-to-size papers from the Paper Kit.

I used lots of Simple Stories (Carpe Diem Posh) pieces, as well as chipboard elements from the Embellishment Kit!

As I said before, I’m loving the simplified look of the Project Life and I plan on continuing this method throughout the remainder of the year!

I hope y’all have a great rest of the weekend!

Loved and Week 38

Hey y’all! Ashley here, with two super fun projects using the September 2016 Hip Kits!

For my first project, I started with a white background. I decided to go with a little bit of a different design than usual. I mostly used the Gather Collection papers from our Paper Kit and Main Kit. I also used several of the Gather ephemera pieces from our Main Kit, along with “standout” Gather stickers from our Embellishment Kit.

I just love the Maggie Holmes “Gather” collection so much! It’s perfect for the Fall weather and has great colors for soft family-themed layouts!

For an extra touch, I added some Shimmerz Paints mist in “Oh Say Can You Sea” from our April 2016 Color Kit!

I hope y’all love this one as much as I loved creating it!

For my second project, I created a 9×12 Project Life Spread.

I started with cards from the Project Life Kit as well as a few cut-to-size Paper Kit cards!

I decided that I am going to work on catching up on PL at a later time and start using Hip Kits for recent weeks, since the colors/themes go perfectly with the time of year!

I used a few of the Simple Stories “Posh” ephemera pieces, as well as the alphas from both the Main Kit and Embellishment Kit.

I am trying to simplify my PL spreads a bit more than usual because I find that I’m loving the “clean” look of Project Life. The Project Life Kit is perfect for this because it comes with smaller elements, perfect for adding simple touches to your cards!

I hope y’all love this one too!
