Week 44 and “Merry and Bright”

Hey everyone! It’s Ashley, back with a project life spread using the November 2016 Main Kit and Embellishment Kit.
I started by cutting several of the papers from the Main Kit and Paper Kit down to the right sizes for this spread. I used papers from the Crate Paper, Inc. “Snow and Cocoa” collection, as well as HKC Exclusive papers for this month! I used Pinkfresh alphas as well as HKC Exclusive alphas for the title card. I also used several of the exclusive phrase stickers as well as ephemera pieces, designed by Kim Watson for the these kits. I seriously cannot get enough of those phrase stickers!
To finish off the page, I added some touches of washi, along with puffy stickers from the Embellishment Kit.
I hope you all love this page as much as I do!

For my second project, I created a super fun layout! This is one of my favorites of all time 🙂
I started with a white background from our Cardstock Kit. Then, I used the Shimmerz Paints texture paste to add some interest to the background along with the Shimmerz mist from our Color Kit.
I let this dry and then began with my layering. I cut a few papers from the Crate Paper, Inc. “Snow and Cocoa” collection, along with some of the “Tis The Season” Exclusive papers. I fanned the papers out behind the photo for a “different” look this time.
I used some ephemera pieces from the “Tis the Season” collection by Kim Watson, and then added the title using the puffy stickers as well as pink chipboard alphas from the Main Kit.
Oh, and I can’t forget about the cut file which is exclusively designed for members!

All about Alphas!

Hey everyone! I hope you’re having a great Saturday so far! I have a fun project using the November 2016 kits with you all!

Today, my layout focuses on using any of the alpha stickers in the kit! I have to admit, I’m normally intimidated by long titles with lots of different fonts, but always seem to love when others do it!

I began with that beautiful HKC Exclusive paper from the Main Kit or Paper Kit. I began layering underneath my photo by cutting several different sizes of paper, including one roughly-cut round piece. After layering up, I decided to begin with my title. I used the HKC Exclusive puffy stickers from the Embellishment Kit, along with Thickers from the Embellishment Kit as well. For the word “capture,” I used the exclusive chipboard alphas from the Main Kit and I am SO in love.

My embellishments included several of the HKC Exclusive ephemera pieces from the Main Kit, along with the exclusive flair and a handmade embellishment using the vellum from our  Card Stock Kit and sequins from our Main Kit.

I hope that you all love this layout! Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!

Week 43 and “A witch…”

Hey y’all! Ashley here sharing a Project Life spread with you all!

I began with several photos, and some cut-to-size pattern papers from our October 2016 Paper Kit.

For my title card, I used one of the cards from the Project Life Kit along with alphas from the Embellishment Kit.  Many of the embellishments for each card/photo came from either the Main Kit, but I did use some stickers from the Project Life Kit (honey I’m home), as well as puffy stickers from the Embellishment Kit.

This spread was so fun and it captures our daily life, special events, and little moments that I wouldn’t otherwise photograph!

I hope you all gain some inspiration from this spread!

Another project I worked on was a layout of my daughter dressed up as a witch!
I began with a white background from our Cardstock Kit. I cut a piece American Crafts Dear Lizzy “Saturday”paper (nearly) on half and placed the at the top of the LO. I matted my photo and began to embellish the page.
For my title, I used the exclusive alphas from the the Main Kit along with a couple of the Simple Stories chipboard pieces from our Embellishment Kit.
I added a few elements from the We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home” collection, such as the clock and some cut-aparts from the 12×12 paper.
I hope y’all gain some inspiration from this one as well!

Week 42 and “Punkin’ Patch”

Hi everyone! Ashley here, with a few super fun projects for you all! I hope you’re having a wonderful Saturday so far.
I began with my project life spreads. I created one back-back 6×12 with all 4×6 pockets spread and one back-back 6×12 spreads with all 3×3 pockets. This was SO much to create—plus, this was a busy week because I traveled to Kansas City!
On my cover spread, I used all photos (yes, once again). I simply embellished each photo used several stickers from the Simple Stories “Carpe Diem-Posh” collection, along with elements from the We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home” collection. Both of these sticker sheets came in the Project Life Kit for October 2016.
For my second spread, I cut several pieces of patterned paper down to 3×3. I used a few Simple Stories papers, as well as American Crafts “Saturday,” along with Maggie Holmes “Gather” papers from our Paper Kit. I used stickers and ephemera from the embellishment kit, along with the HKC Exclusive alphas from the Main Kit.
I had so much fun creating these spreads!

For my second project, I created a 8.5X11 for my PL album as a separate insert/page.

I began with one of the salmon-colored card stock papers from the Card stock Kit for the background. I then began layering with the (Maggie Holmes) American Crafts “Gather” papers, as well as a 3×4 card from the We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home” collection.

I titled the layout using the gold foiled alphas from the Embellishment Kit along with the Simple Stories stickers from the Project Life Kit.

This one was also super fun to create!!

Don’t forget to check out my process vid with ALL of the details!

I hope y’all love it!

Week 41 and “Hello Lovely”

Hey Y’all, Ashley here sharing a project life spread using the October 2016 Hip Kits!

So, this one is a little different. I did not use any of the HKC Exclusive cards from the Project Life Kit because I had just enough photos for a one-sided spread this time. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show you how using the embellishments and alphas from the kits still make for a fun and beautiful spread! Plus, I little goes a long way!

I used several elements from the We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home” collection, as well as the HKC Exclusive alphas and Simple Stories (Carpe Diem Posh) pieces (chipboard and regular stickers).

I just love how simple this one is! More like this to come in the future.

For the layout, I began with a pink background from the Cardstock Kit. I simply cut up some papers to sizes I wanted and adhered them to the background. Most papers that I used are from the Maggie Holmes “Gather  collection.” I just love the pattern that looks like lots of lined-up books!

I matted my photo and then began to embellish with elements from the We R Memory Keepers “Honey I’m Home” collection and created a title using the Paige Evans “take me away” collection along with the Pebbles “Warm & Cozy” collection.

This one was lots of fun as well! I hope you all have gained some inspiration!

Don’t forget to check out my process video for these two projects!

XOXO
