Hey y’all! This week me and 2 other girls focused on one of our favorite products from the April 2017 Kits!
For my project, I’ve created a Project Life spread for you all with a focus on one of my favorite products from the kit (the Pinkfresh Acetate).
I started by cutting some of the patterned papers down to size to fit in my pockets. I also used one of the HKC Exclusive PL cards from our Project Life Kit.
I used some of the alphas from Pinkfresh Studio (Embellishment Kit) and the My Mind’s Eye “Palm Beach” Collection (PL kit).
I lightly embellished with pieces from the “Live More” collection, but also from the “Oh My Heart” collection.
One of my favorite things in this kit is the acetate pieces! I love the colors and the designs. I wanted to keep things simple, therefore, I chose approximately one piece per card, although there are photos without them (they just wouldn’t have shown up great on those particular photos).
On the title card, I sewed the acetate piece for more texture but I also love how subtle this yellow and pink tag is on the bright pink card.
I hope y’all enjoyed this process and gained some inspiration!! 🙂
Ashley here, bringing you two super fun projects using the April 2017 Kits!
I am happy to say that I have now started my 2017 Project Life! Yay! So, with that being said, I am using the 12×12 system and I. Love. It!
I started with some of the cards from the project life kit and placed them where I thought they looked best. I used white card stock for some of the cards so that all of the color would be balanced!
For my title card, I used the super pretty Pinkfresh Studio alphas, along with a label sticker from our PL Kit (My Mind’s Eye- Palm Beach) and some of the black and white washi from our Embellishment Kit. I also cut apart lots of the phrases from the HKC Exclusive word/phrase sheet that came in our PL Kit.
I added some chipboard from the Pink Paislee (Paige Evans) “Oh My Heart” collection, along with some of the black and white stickers from our Color Kit.
I LOVE this spread so much and I hope you do too!
Now, for the scrapbook LO. I started with a white background and those beautiful cloud + sun cut-files designed by Jana McCarthy. I simply cut out shapes for the inside to mix-and-match patterns.
I used lots of ephemera from the “Oasis” collection, along with a few stickers from the My Mind’s Eye “Palm Beach” collection.
Lastly, I added shimmerz mist from an previous Color Kit in the color “Oh Say can you Sea.”
I hope y’all love this one too!! 🙂
Have a wonderful Easter weekend!!
I’m back with a page, that was not-so-simple to put together, created with the Hip Kit Club (March 2017) Kits! I have to admit, this one was a major struggle for me. It took me about 3 times to get it “right,” and I still don’t super love it.
I started with the beautiful black and white text paper as my background. I started layering behind my photo and at this point, I didn’t love the look of everything, but decided to keep going any way. I then realized after adding lots of embellishments (Oh my Heart, Little by Little, and Lovely Day), that I should mute the background. I grabbed some of the white Shimmerz Paints that came in a past color kit, and adding some of the pink Pasteez (Shimmerz Paints) from March’s Color Kit. I felt that this looked a lot better!
I decided to cut out the black and white paper, and sew it on to the a purple background from our Cardstock Kit. I liked this a lot! I then started adding my layers and something still didn’t look right!
In the end, I decided to take away the feather next to the photo, and add a couple of circular elements, along with words from the “Little by Little” patterned paper that came in our Paper Kit!
I sort of love the end result. Sometimes this happens, and it’s ok! Not all of my layouts come together quickly or simply.
I hope you’ve gained some inspiration from this page!
Have a wonderful Saturday!
It’s Ashley, and I’m back with another scrapbooking layout, along with a Project Life spread. This week was all about using your punches.
Let’s start with the layout. I began with a ledger background (paper from Crate Paper Chasing Dreams) and simply began to layer papers around my photo. I knew immediately what I wanted to do with the punches, so I grabbed my star punch, flower punch, butterfly and heart punch. I simply punched several shapes and then laid some of them directly on top of each other (about 3 or 4 at a time), and sewed the middle; this created a dimensional embellishment with the butterflies and hearts. With the stars, I plainly adhered them to the page as I didn’t want too too much dimension all over the place. The flower shapes were off-set so that the petals could be staggered, also making for a cute dimensional embellishment (with an exclusive enamel dot inside).
I used papers from our Paper Kit, Oh My Heart, Lovely Day and Chasing Dreams. I just LOVE LOVE the way this layout came out. Super simple to create!
For my Project Life spread, I used some of the same punched shapes to add some interest to some of the cards. I started by layout out my photos and cards, and then began adhering the photos and adding embellishments. I used the Crate Paper (Charming) Thickers for the title card (Main Kit), and lots of ephemera from both the Dear Lizzy “Lovely Day” and Paige Evans “Oh My Heart” collections. In addition, I added some stickers from the Pinkfresh Studio “Live More” collection.
I hope y’all love this one too!
Don’t forget to check out my Process Vid!
Have a wonderful Scrappy Saturday!!!
